Great Eastern not benefiting from mySalam scheme, says Finance Ministry

PREMIUMS that are not claimed under the mySalam insurance scheme for B40 citizens will be placed in the scheme’s trust fund, the Finance Ministry said in rebutting claims that insurer Great Eastern Holdings was profiting from the scheme. “No private insurance company will profit from the mySalam scheme. All premiums paid by the government, if unutilised in claims from the beneficiaries, will be reimbursed back to the mySalam Trust Fund.
