has denied allegations by secret witness, former Crime Intelligence official, Dhanajaya Naidoo, that he benefited from the police slush fund.

Naidoo told the State Capture Inquiry on Monday that former Crime Intelligence financial officer, Solly Lazarus, had asked him to arrange a R40 000 payment for Cele – then National Police Commissioner. Cele says there is no evidence implicating him. Naidoo who is under witness protection is testifying via a video link from a secret location.
