The man applied for an online loan from"ezpinjaman.com" and instead of receiving the much needed cash infusion to boost his business, the farmer ended up losing RM20,200 of his own savings.
Kent sweet-talked the victim saying that he would assist until the loan was approved and told the farmer that he could borrow RM30,000 cash with a monthly repayment of only RM780 for 48 months. "The victim assumed it was a genuine deal and transferred RM9,200 and RM11,000 respectively into two separate bank accounts. Only when Kent could no longer be contacted, the victim realised he has been cheated and lodged a police report yesterday.
