The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng , followed by Kwa-Zulu Natal and Western Cape.
The NICD says due to the ongoing audit exercise by the National Department of Health there may be a backlog of COVID-19 mortality cases reported. A further COVID-19 related have been reported 195 deaths and of these, 23 occurred in the past 24 – 48 hours.
