The Minister for Finance has defended the Government over their handling of the cost of living crisis, saying that they couldn't do much more to combat rising energy bills.
"I accept it doesn't cover all of the cost but... with all of the different things our country is having to deal with at the moment, it's important we also have the money to make progress on those."He continued: "I absolutely appreciate that higher costs that many are facing at the moment are going to be really difficult.
