The Capitalist Manifesto: Businesses should focus on shareholder earnings and spare the ESG

BUSINESSES should focus on earnings, and GOVERNMENTS on enviro and social impact. ... but then businesses spent billions on lobbying, and on politicians like me, to gut enviro and social regulations. Laissez faire! And here we are. Record inequality and a slowly baking planet.

What else have businesses focussed on? Profit and nothing else. It's why the Earth is where it is today - environmentally. Business people do nothing and they kill the very system that mskes them money. Or in Marx's 'bourgeois class sows the seeds of it's own downfall'.
