Forget timber and labour, building sites are struggling to find another critical type of construction infrastructure.

Forget timber and labour, there is another shortage of a critical construction infrastructure supply — portaloos.Merlin Portable Toilets' Peter Effeney says he has 4,000 on back orderIt's not just causing a backup in Brisbane or the rest of the country, but possibly even building sites across the world. The community organisation was hoping to return to business earlier if not for the dearth of portaloos available to install on its worksite.

Peter Effeney is a director at Acacia Ridge's Merlin Portable Toilets, which manufactures the siloed outhouses — each selling for about $2,000 per unit. However, he said, in the US, customers were forced to wait up to four months, meaning the issue was "pretty much" global.

Thought of using a portaloo sends a shiver down my spine

This is a complete non-issue. The hire industry supplies and services portable toilets of varying sizes to the construction and event industry across Australia and always has.

Aunty has left the building. On brand article for the new ABC.

So the portaloo companies are really “not taking the piss” out of construction workers What has this world come to? 🤔

Somebody call Kenny..

Look my naked photo ❤️😘
