When it comes to Gen Z, money talks — and they talk about money a lot more than their predecessors. It’s causing headaches for employers.

That one-two punch is a major source of headaches for employers.

Remley believes it's partially a function of entering the workforce at a time of rising pay and rising costs, as well as a desire for homeownership that also came through in Robin’s survey. And if they are being paid less than colleagues or the open market, they’re likely to find out quickly. Nearly one-third of Gen Z workers said they feel comfortable discussing their salary details with coworkers, which is more than millennials and Gen X .
