Ontario's tourism minister says the province won't be extending the staycation tax credit for another year, despite the hard-hit industry recommending the move as a way to help it recover from the pandemic.

Neil Lumsden, the minister of tourism, culture and sport, says in a statement that the province temporarily introduced it for the 2022 tax year to spur pandemic recovery for the tourism, hospitality and culture sectors.

Just a stupid decision from our Government When someone decides to stay a night in a hotel, they will spend and spend more in that area and support the locals. I’ll just travel outside of Ontario then….

Even Doug Ford doesn't want to stay in Ontario

The industry didn't send fordnation a bag of cash. That's how this government makes decisions.

Looks like an entire industry failed to get cozy with ThugFord

Costing Doug too much money! Get ready for the license plate stickers! They're coming back too, along with the gas tax! Doug needs the money!

Doug’s going to need the funds to payout the lawsuits.
