Alberta on the other hand welcomed 19,285 Canadians in the third quarter of 2022. This is the highest rate of migration since the 1980s. Even though King made the move a couple years before, the cost of living was a key part of her decision. Alberta continues to attract more Canadians from other provinces due to its affordable housing prices, job market and slower pace of life, even if the weather leaves something to be desired.
