He says if big energy users ramped up solar installations, SA could be in a better place in six months.Bank Zero founder and former FNB CEO, Michael Jordaan, says South Africans need to rise and solve their problems at a personal level, including ditching unreliable services, even if it is Eskom. "It is already cheaper than Eskom if you use it in the daytime. It's not just about trying to be green. It's really just cheaper, and it guarantees that you have power during the daytime," he said.

Jordaan said if big energy users took these solutions, he could see SA having"better times in six months"."But it [won't be] because of what the government does; it [will be] because of what the market is doing," he added.

_Business And his opinion is important Frankly, as a tax paying citizen of this country, I shouldn't HAVE to look for alternatives - that's why I am taxed to death after all - for SERVICE DELIVERY...!

_Business . ,

_Business Okay, but can we stop paying taxes then since that's what our tax meant for?

_Business Does it also mean ditching all other services and government itself? If it's viable let's do it.

_Business So he means we should not make ANC accountable for all the failure that is happening in our country then who is incharge in this country then?

_Business The vast majority of South African citizens live hand to mouth and even then they are barely scraping through, but sure, it's our fault for not simply going solar... I mean let's all just dip into our nonexistent savings and free ourselves from slavedom... What a f*cking laugh...

_Business South Africans must not break the law themselves to begin with. Not all the problems are caused by the ruling party and not all the solutions are up to the ruling party.

_Business KUDUS FOR YOU! GIVE TRAINED DA.DONKEY LEADER THIS ADVICE HE SUFFERS MENTAL POVERTY THAN ATTEND ABET TO FINISH STD.10 HIS THE ANTI CHRIST

_Business Fantastic idea, most South Africans want to ditch Eskom Sir, alternatives are not in reach and finance houses are not bringing solutions to the table, structure a deal rent to own, excess electricity push back to grid and you earn from the generation to settle debt

_Business Oh look, another privileged dude making up nonsense. How cute.

_Business Expect more fromsomeone like him. Be realistic and not pie in the sky….average joe can’t just ditch Eskom.

_Business Privatise Eskom. Take government out of there

_Business Comments like this clearly show that some wealthy citizens are out of touch with the huge disparity between different levels I the economic hierarchy.

_Business The average family can't afford to go off gird due to high installation and maintenance costs, considering everything has sky rocketed in the past few months. wise words!

_Business

_Business Easier said than done. How does an average family just 'ditch eskom'?
