Gauteng Education to beef up security in schools

This is the second incident of school violence in Gauteng in the past week.

“It is concerning for us as a department to experience such and we are really worried that there seems to be a silent escalation of violent attacks on each other from learners such as the incident in Soweto and last few incidents in that area but also the one in Geluksdal. We know that this time it was not necessarily learners but people from outside who stabbed and killed the learner.

What have they been waiting for, another child to die, elsewhere this would have been sorted out from the very onset, here the children are on their own, incompetence rules 😬

Wouldn't need it if criminals were stopped but they rule the world as we so often see. School is supposed to be safe place but our youth go to war daily

Gauteng is south Africa
