Smuggled kids from Latin America

The company still profited and see's this as a cost of doing business. Nothing changes until it is criminalized. Like it should be.

corporations will literally do anything to not pay their employees a living wage

Not enough they will continue to do it until someone starts throwing people in jail!

Just how stupid can the managers of this company be? They couldn't have thought it was okay or that they wouldn't get caught. More to the story than we're being told?

So the company still makes a profit from child labor?

No fine money went to the victims

So who hired them.

How much for hiring an illegal?

They consider the fine as a cost of doing business. It will change nothing.

OK, this was civil, where the hell is the criminal prosecution?

no ceo's were harmed, no profits were lost, though, so everything is f.i.n.e. AmericanCorporatocracy

Big effin' deal. Their 'fine' should have gone to those children!

but no owner went to jail...that should have happened...they don't go to jail or suffer at all for hiring 'illegals' either. sheesh. you guys are the corporate mouthpiece

We coddle our children too much. 13 is a little young but any 15-16 year old could easily handle this job.

So basically fined nothing, they'll continue hiring children & only ever get fined. Cool.

I hope that the money recovered in the lawsuit went to the children as compensation. But, somehow, I doubt it ALL made it there. Sigh.

That's it? No wonder this shit never ends.

This is not enough of a penalty to stop companies from employing child laborers.

Most of those plants were in red states, almost all of them. Even Marsha Blackburns TN.

hope they're giving that money to pay those miners. anything4money

You mean Packers Sanitation Services.

I worked in a factory as a cleaner of equipment from the age of 13. Many teenagers work in fast food. What law does it violate for a teenager to do cleaning work?

Slap on one finger

Stock price increases on labor cost saving measures
