Contract disputes between insurers and medical providers have been a regular feature of the national health industry for a while. But the stakes have risen as players on both sides have expanded to gain market share and leverage in network negotiations.

Healthcare need regulations just like Wall Street you cannot cheat on people in their sweat earned money!

Guess who caused this... Along with Mitch McConnell's bitter hate for what Obama created for America. Remember next time you vote Republican.

Ever shifting. Constant chaos. Never thought I’d say it but... Time for the private insurance industry to go by the wayside. Medicare (and union coverage) was simple, straight forward and inexpensive until private insurers weaseled their way in. Time to go. No more profiteering.

seems a bit like discriminatory pricing. shouldn't un-insured people get the same prices as the massive insurance companies? -why is our system set up to let a third party (insurance company) get a piece of the action?

We need Medicare for all.

Greed is the worst of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Increasing market share. Lol. There’s the problem right there.

pdougherty Nationalize Health Insurance!! medicareForAll

The headline could point a bit more to the failure of Obamacare but the MSM could never talk about the real problem

I hope they all get put out of business by Medicare for all....

Another reason for Medicare for ALL

Such exaggeration. What happened to NPR?

All about the $ never about people and their care.

Remember when Republicans claimed it would be government healthcare that would get between you & your doctor...

kburnsmd This is result of ‘comprehensive healthcare overhaul.’ CorporateHealthcareNG

The cost of the private market includes marketing and an increasing administrative burden for hospitals, physicians and patients is measurable. The cost to patients who lose continuity in care and medications is immeasurable.

Result of choking off s free marketplace

This is why we need a single payer system like other countries have asap. Our system sucks

'If you like your doctor...'

THIS is why people are starting to embrace socialist ideas.

MedicareForAll

Shocking

KamalaHarris have you seen this story?

Ruth bader ginsburg hasn’t been seen for almost two months now, is she still alive ?

npr = fake news

So lefties hate their Obamacare now.... LOL

for some reason the richest country in the world is the only developed nation that can’t figure out single payer health care...

This is why insurance is a scam.

Also increase their profit margins at the expense of consumers

I hate insurance companies at this point. My wife and I both have had this happen on major commercial health plans over the last 6 months.

There is no such thing as healthcare, it’s just one big insurance scam.

It’s so sad that we accept this, allow it. The toll on people already dealing with serious illnesses is terrible. I think it should fall on the healthy among us to fix it, say no.

Ugh insurance companies suck. Healthcare should not be for profit! It doesn’t work! Okay I’ll stop yelling now. M4A

Two words. Single payer.

Medicare for all can’t come soon enough!

Why do R’s insist private insurance is so superior? Medicare doesn’t screw around with networks. You can see anybody.

Imagine how bad it’ll b when health care is rationed with long waits times or costs a lot more out of pocket. If Democrats get their way with Medicare for all.

It’s immoral, but HowardSchultz prob ok with it.

I work at an FQHC, we have people waiting mos, traveling hours and hours away to get needed care. People that are significantly below poverty line, the elderly, with no car, child care, family or other support. It is beyond time for single payer healthcare.

We can not go on this way ! We must overhaul the way healthcare is managed in this country !

Newsflash: the system that doesn't work STILL doesn't work.

It ain’t about healthcare, it’s all about the money!

merica

Allow competition across state lines and deregulate the healthcare industry. Before we start getting our panties in a bunch and just hand our healthcare choices over to the government. Yes free markets work in healthcare just like any other industry.

Someone should ask SeemaCMS how this gives pts more choice. Since she is all about business models in healthcare

Health care in the US is about money not actual care.

A short history of healthcare & medical insurance in America.. 'Medicare uses 98% of its funding for health care and only 2% for administration.'

Who payed you to print this as candidate is saying she's going to push Medicare for all. (Socialist healthcare)

Suddenly? This has been going on for decades. Wake up, NPR.

Insurance companies harming people? That’s not a bug, it’s a feature and their business model

HowardSchultz this is a good system to you?

I love how folks opposed to health ins reform/Obamacare/Medicare For All claim all these bad things will happen. U won’t get to see your doc, U will be denied service based on bureaucratic whims, death panels, etc. ALL these things currently happen under our private ins system.

Today I found out my essential doctor is now out of network with Medicare & Blue Shield of California KamalaHarris SenFeinstein MikeLevinCA

Yep. Happened to me. Anyone not Medicare for all is not getting my vote.

This country is so stupid

I think that sometimes have really good ideas. I tweeted one to you about the ACA. If you read any of my tweets, and you enjoy my ideas, please send a good / so I can distinguish myself. I hope that repetition will accidentally get my ideas noticed

As soon as I tried to use Medicare, I learned there is no MD in town that will accept basic Medicare, it has to be 'Medicare Advantage.' More money. That also does not shorten the wait list by much. PeaceHealth in Eugene has 700+ on their wait list.

This industry needs a smack down. I am over this scheme of me paying into something that I will never get a dime from. And what the fvck do I need an HSA for? I need a separate account to load money for it? Why am I transferring money to my own other account? healthscam

It will just get worse until we have single-payer and kick the greed to the curb.

I pay out of pocket, and couldn't afford the sleep apnea DME bullcrap. Wanted $1700 for what I found online for less than $300. Overcharging the insurance companies is all they know how to do, and guess who gets to pay for that ridiculous crap? We do. Time for regulation ffs.

medicareforall

Screw them. Socialize healthcare.

Allow medicine across state lines! Have them compete!

Jumpy market gives young investors first big test of resolveNEW YORK (AP) — After gliding through years where stocks mostly just rose, a generation of investors last year suddenly confronted a hard financial truth: Stocks are risky and can plunge at any moment. For older investors, the nearly 20 percent drop in the S&P 500 index from late September through Christmas Eve was a reminder of the fear that gripped markets during the 2008 financial crisis, though not as bad. But for many investors in their 20s and early 30s, it was the first test of their mettle since they opened 401(k) and brokerage accounts. Yep I kept my $10 in apple stock and haven’t looked back Yeah, never mind the fact that most Millennials were over 18 in the last crash, this is the first one. Wait until they see the bottom.
