Shares of food retail firm Tesco PLC TSCO, +1.30% and advertising/marketing/public relations company WPP PLC WPP, +0.92% climbed 1.30% and 0.92%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.07% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.06% at $1.2737 and 0.10% against the euro GBPEUR, -0.07% at €1.1713.
