Sen. Elizabeth Warren attends the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network post-midterm election meeting in the Kennedy Caucus Room at the Russell Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill November 13, 2018 in Washington, DC.Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts Democrat and 2020 presidential candidate, has proposed a plan to break up some of the country's largest tech companies, including Amazon, Google and Facebook.
"That means we break Facebook away from Instagram and WhatsApp, Amazon away from Whole Foods, Google away from Nest, and more," Warren wrote in a campaign email. Warren's plan includes a call for"platform neutrality" — banning tech giants from both providing a marketplace and selling their product on the same marketplace — and the appointment of new regulators that would undo mergers between massive tech companies. She argues that these mergers smother competition and undermine democracy.
Warren is holding a rally in Long Island City, Queens on Friday night, where Amazon was set to open a new headquarters before it cancelled its plans amid fierce local pushback.
Sounds like something I would say if I was running for President, but really didn’t want to be elected President.
🤣🤣🤣
Fat chance of that happening.
Lets focus on telecom companies first. Literally the first line to the internet. Then break up the tech giants. Knocking down the tech giants first line of defense is most important. Give people a choice in internet providers, we at least have a choice in search engines.
Is she willing to break up big government, too?
LOCOHANTAS SHIT BIRD.
Things just keep getting better and better for Trump's reelection campaign.
