Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has secured a major partnership with Microsoft to bolster Australia’s cyber-security capabilities.
Mr Albanese was joined by Microsoft chiefs in Washington as the tech giant announced a $5 billion investment over the next two years. The investment – which is Microsoft’s largest in the company’s 40-year history in Australia – will also see it expand cloud computing and AI infrastructure.“This will improve joint capability to identify, prevent and respond to cyber threats,” Mr Albanese said during a media conference on Tuesday.
