As elections approach in Chad, the country's civil society fears that nothing will change. Adoum fears that France and other Western partners will not push for a change in political rule in case it jeopardises their military presence in strategically-located Chad. The authorities blamed Dillo's Socialist Party Without Borders for an attack on the security agency following the death one of their leaders.
