There’s once again a debate going on on social media, mainly Twitter, where people are discussing the pros and cons of having vernacular schools in Malaysia.
Duyong State Assembly Member , Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abd Halem, took to his TikTok account to question why national schools aren’t learning from the business tactics of Chinese schools who partner with corporate companies to build their school halls that can be rented out for weddings and other events.
“This school hall was built with corporate contributions. It’s not like it was actually a contribution, the school is working together with the corporate company. The company built the hall within the school grounds.”
