'Why have you ignored the continent for this long?'

British supermodel Naomi Campbell has urged big companies to invest in Africa, saying she believes in the continent and the potential of its youth.

She was speaking at the Conde Nast International Luxury Conference, which was began on Tuesday at Cape Town's Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. "They could flourish even more if they were given opportunities. We all don't realise in this room, the difference you could make if you were to make a commitment and pledge to come and commit into the infrastructure across Africa."

How much did you invest and what was your return You can't invest in a corrupt derelict continent. Why are you still in the USA

Yes, please but also us as people too we need to rise and seek opportunities.

Got f*ckall to do with “ignoring” AFRICA. It’s got everything to do with risk. Most African countries are f*ck ups. NaomiCampbell you need to be realistic. Investors don’t just invest for sentimental reasons. They invest so they’ll get good returns. That won’t happen in Africa.

No they should leave us alone these investments go to the multinational corporations that destroy our lively hood and supply us reject chicken and beef. They undermine the well being of the society so I say let us be we want ourland nothing else

Africa is not ignored most of the western countries, e.g France controls 85% of the national reserves of 14 African countries. They are all forced to pay colonial tax to France. So the First world countries are nothing without Africa. Time for us to rise

Because last they were here they plundered, raped and colonised

Naomi is one of the very few celebs who loves Africa with all her heart. She told Wendy once that she was driving around Kenya alone and m. Williams looked at her loke she was crazy. She was like ''Alone '' Naomi casually answers ''yes'' and moves along quickly.

If bailouts could generate positive return on investments then we would have been the most attractive country for foreign investments.

Illicit diamonds and all that Jazz!!!

The spirit of Amandlala is creeping in on Naomi.

They are not ignoring it. They are looting our resources.

No idea why investors are wary Naomi... I mean the place screams 'invest here'!!

She said whilst having a caviar and champagne lunch 🤪

Because they are Corrupt don't you know that?

How can they invest in a continent where they're already owning 3/4 of it's natural resources & wealth?

Same answer as everyone else...the money gets stolen

How do you invest in a continent with corrupt leaders.

Because every African countries government is corrupt and steals from their people. They only serve themselves and cry foul when it goes wrong. Why would anyone invest in a country that will not yield results!?

Protect Naomi Campbell at all cost
