Staff at a Watford business had the chance to learn a few top tips about how to change tyres quickly when they were visited by a British motor racing legend.
Three-time Formula One world champion and former team boss Jackie Stewart was a guest visitor to Stapleton’s Tyres 37 years ago this month on June 29, 1987.photographer was present to capture the visit as the now 85-year-old was shown around the workshop and spoke to staff, as well as meeting some younger customers.Born in Dunbartonshire, Scotland, in 1939, Stewart competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning the title in 1969, 1971 and 1973 and finishing runner-up twice.
