The ReSURGEnce Conference has started to get rid of racial economic imbalances in the United States and to strengthen economic ties between African Americans and African people globally. A delegation of 100 business people and government leaders are attending the conference in Durban. Dillon says there is an opportunity to help unlock Durban’s full tourism potential.
“I think number one, how do we create more development along the Durban Waterfront. And how do we engage developers on the US-side, particularly black developers who can come here and participate in development, create more hotels, create more timeshares, create more hospitality businesses. We have one of the hospitality geniuses and leaders that has already opened four five-star restaurants in the New York area that is part of this delegation.
