LAST July 30, the Philippine life insurance industry mourned the passing of an icon and legend — AIA-PH district manager Lourdes 'Lulu' del Mundo. For the past few days, Facebook was flooded with personal accounts from different people whose lives she had touched. I will depart from my usual topic and dedicate this article as a tribute to the celebrated life of our dear Tita Lulu.
Tita Lulu holds the record of being the only agency member who served all presidents of her company, from Philamlife founder Mr. Earl Carroll to incumbent president and CEO Melita Teo. Her knowledge, wisdom and contributions are highly regarded by these leaders. In 2016, she was one of the first awardees during the 1st Asia Most Trusted Agents and Advisers held in Singapore.
