The Labour Party, LP, has dismissed reports claiming that it has reached an agreement with the ruling All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election. A human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju had made the allegation in a video on the social media the party, in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Obiorah Ifoh, labeled the claim as false and baseless.
'After the 2023 general election, where the Labour Party worked very hard to disrupt the status quo, it has continued to interrogate the system's failure and has been very visible playing the role of the opposition, continuously critiquing the policies, proffering solutions and advising the government. 'And with all these efforts by the party to reposition it, for someone to be demarketing such a party in such an unguarded and callous manner, is most ridiculous and unfortunate.
