Amazon has been slow to broadly offer third-party POS financing options, but its attitude may be changing:

Paidy's twofold ability to improve checkout may be what's catching these firms' attention.

The e-tailer has now introduced third-party POS financing in two markets, which may mean Amazon has an increased interest in the space. In addition to working with Paidy in Japan, Amazon has with Australia-based Zip Co to provide its Australian consumers with access to Zip Co's alternative financing options.

Ad business a boon for Amazon but a turn-off for shoppersSponsored ads are flooding Amazon’s search results and making it harder to find the products customers are searching for. It's always been like this. Back when I used to shop on Amazon I made it a point not to by sponsored products just because of how annoying Amazon makes it. Its as if they weren’t already making enough money. This happens to all tech sites eventually no? A competitor will rise Bezos doesn't make enough money as is. He has to have ads for more.
