Britain last year set a target to reach net-zero emissions by 2050 but its economy is suffering from the effects of measures designed to slow the spread of the coronavirus. “To ensure that the 2020s continue to be a decade of delivery on net zero there needs to be step-change in the pace of investment, supported by government,” the Confederation of British Industry said in its Green Economic Recovery Roadmap published on Monday.
It also said the government should publish its Energy White Paper and National Infrastructure strategies to foster investment in new projects and introduce a financing model to encourage investment in new nuclear plants.
LucyTurnbull_AO Gosh it’s difficult to see how someone like Tony Abbott will fit into this narrative.
Because oil isn’t filling their portfolios,so have realised that putting it as tree planting in areas where they end up on fire is a great thing.

Of course they do. Having been crippled by the vast overreaction to teh virus they now demand further measures to increase costs and bureaucratic control. Oh and a dodgy electrical supply. It's not like any of these factors contribute to the economy.
