Selangor CID chief says this is the third case of offenders being charged in court over river pollution since September. FMTNews Water AirSelangor

The pollution of Sungai Kundang in Rawang, Selangor, was believed to have been caused by industrial discharge.

In a statement, Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said the four individuals, comprising three men and one woman, will be charged under Section 25 of the Environmental Quality Act 1974.They will also be charged under Section 55E of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for hiring foreign workers without legal permits, while eight Myanmar men will be charged for not possessing legal work permits.
