“Congress should certify the electoral vote,” reads the letter, adding: “Attempts to thwart or delay this process run counter to the essential tenets of our democracy.” Among the signees are an array of executives from Fortune 500 companies, as well as leaders of banks, airlines, investment firms, pharmaceutical companies and more.
While many have held cordial relationships with the president, Kathryn Wylde, the president and chief executive of the Partnership for New York City, which is responsible for organizing the letter, toldthat business leaders joined because of the long-term damage posed by the continued questioning of the election.
