Tim Hortons is modernizing its drive-thru experience and improving its core menu items in a bid to win over customers as the economy starts to reopen, executives with the restaurant's parent company say.

The focus on positioning the coffee chain to grow during the post-pandemic recovery comes as the ongoing disruption to daily routines caused by COVID-19 restrictions continues to hurt sales.

But the company has invested heavily in upgrading the core offerings at Tim Hortons as part of its “back to basics” plan. “We feel that we're well positioned when things begin to open up to be able to capture more share and continue to grow the business in Canada for the long term.” “We've also learned a lot in terms of how we can simplify those digital menu boards to really target and tailor the messages that you see based on your previous shopping habits.”

Forget about going in the first place. You can make fresh coffee at home in less time and it’s better.

How about the make their coffee not taste like dirty water? If you get a cup of mcdonalds coffee double double and then grab tims, the tims literally tastes like dirty water to me. You watered your flavor down so much to try and appease the masses and now we have moved on.....

Maybe try hiring people who speak English. And are friendly. And don't rush you to order.

Put a god damn sleeve on. I don't need to ask every single time. And they just throw the sleeve at you.

Don't understand why they, and for that matter Starbucks, hasn't added a drive thru window for those who only want coffee. IMO would make drive thru traffic move faster and smoother.

As long as Douggie gets his egg sammie it’s all good.

They need to worry about getting the coffee tasting the same every time. It always tastes different and usually not very good. Bitter or watery but the 10% it is good then it’s some of the best.

And yet they removed garbage bins

I’ve never seen a business so worried about timing employees that I consistently get my order wrong. Also, my coffee is consistently under filled even though I ask for a full cup. I never get these issues at McDonald’s and they are able to move orders quickly.

Maybe they should focus on making actual good coffee.
