Keir Starmer has argued that Labour must build “a strong partnership with businesses” if it is to create a more just and equal post-Covid society, saying that for too long the party saw business as “something just to be tolerated or taxed”.

Postmodern Modality. Unlawful wars criminal Anthony Blair's insurgent, 'Sir' K.Stiemer, 'Work with business'? What 'Mossad'Sterngangster, terrorists 'businesses'. Lock Blair & Stiemer away & throw away the key.

SO when the Whiter...sigh.

It means that Starmer believes that the market can deliver a fairer society which is proof - if proof were needed that he neither understands socialism or capitalism. Hayek - who did - said the market was neither moral or immoral, it was amoral!

good! so he's going to encourage a wage increase?

Starmer can't even be fair to the previous leader.

It's a shame he can't drum up any supporters isn't it. I thought that was quite important in politics

JonTrickett 'Alternative speech' 👏👏👏 Invest for growth A Wealth Tax Proper workers’ rights A proactive state End NHS privatisation Cut power of Mega Corps No bailouts for tax dodgers Extend Furlough to Xmas No fire & rehire Full, well paid, employment keirstarmerspeech

More and more and more empty words.

Why no just Nationalise everything it will be fairer by far

Wet wipe.

Puzzled !! Why has Peter Mandelson donned a Sir Keir Starmer mask and given us a half-hour wartime-spirit lecture Asking for a few million friends............

Someone should tell him that 'business' doesn't want a fairer society. Being the leader of the Labour movement, you'd think he already knew that.

They need to stop billionaires controlling our democracy...

Reminder why Keir DID Not make any reference to the last Blair/Brown 1996-2010 Labour Gov and choose to go back to WW11. The last Labour government also sold off NHS Public Health Vaccine, Blood Banks , development and storage labs to the Chinese.

give the leadership back to Jeremy Corbyn! ken.stop super sucking

2nd hand fake policy merchant: 'I seek to undermine Socialism every day..' 'I abstain whenever it matters..' 'I prioritise CIA&Mossad assets,' 'If you're pro-Palestinian,pro worker's rights&pro peace, You're anti-whatever it is I'm told to stand up for..'

Will businesses flock to support Labour’s new vision for the future I wonder? The private sector is famous for its morals and sense of societal duty..

okay

Dear Sir Keir, start with the current economical-model and work-back from there.. Otherwise we're simply pissing-fuel onto a fire..

That's a somewhat vague headline, so I read the article and I must commend you for encapsulating his comments so succinctly within your headline.

Starmer the human wet wipe .

While his union pals do their their best to endanger business. Truly remarkable `Labour thinking.

what a load of tosh

Interesting take on bbc5live that Starmer's main selling point is that he's boring (vs Johnson). Someone also made a comment that putting the architect of Labour's Remain policy in charge would be the equivalent of putting Farage in charge of the country had the Brexiteers lost

My name's keef and I say things

That's it. That's the headline. That's the best they could do with this wet wipe of a speech. The Spirit of '45 is alive and kicking!

What on Earth made him think he’d make a good leader? He must surely realise he’s destined to fail without a positive vision for the future? Keith = Poundshop Blair

That means higher tax, higher National insurance ,more union, stifling investment and productivity. Everyone pays more to the government under Labour.

That's what tax is for, right? Just get them to pay their fair share. Did he mention tax avoidance?

It might help if his unions were to work in the nation’s interest and if the NEU actually wanted to educate our children rather than just exercise political stand-offs.

Society will need to rethink completely how we live and work. With advent of artificial intelligence, many jobs, even professional roles will be lost in the coming decades.

Soundbite speech with very little substance, as expected. And even on a technical level sending two separate feeds, one to journos and one to public, was very poor decision making. For most people Starmer was talking past them at a wall. StarmerOut LabourLeadershipElection2021

Government uses threats of violence to impose it's will and steal money. There's nothing fair or moral about that.

This is a joke right?

Will Keir Starmer stick to Corbyn's Labour commitment to tackle corruption and power? Reverse NHS PFI? Return Schools to Local Government? Cancel Student Debt? Re-nationalise Water from their profiteering? Challenge Tax Avoidance?

Until the British people realize that the bumbling bull shitter that looks like he has been dragged excitedly through a hedge and then proceeds to tell them lies regarding herd immunity and Brexit is not working in their own interest then the Tories will remain in power

Oh fk off keith

SPR SocialistPoliciesRefused

My heart sinks just reading that headline. It didn’t improve having read the article.

When government says it 'must work with business' i always feel like it means make a thousand people richer at the expense of a million people.

Heavy on rhetoric; light on policy. Dreary Keir has nothing to offer his party, let alone the country. Proposing nothing but a return to high-spending big-government, backed up with worn-out attack lines about austerity, just doesn't cut it with the electorate anymore.

Why business? What have they got to do with it? Many businesses perpetuate society's unfairness
