.The Great Outdoors! Here beneath Croagh Patrick, The Towers gastropub on Westport Quay is seeing the investment in open air dining beginning to pay off for the first time.

"We invested ourselves and received some Government support to enable us to create this comfortable outdoor space that gives people a great dining experience." The allocation of council funding as well as grants provided by Fáilte Ireland has enabled businesses in the town to develop robust outdoor dining areas.

All well and good having outdoor dining but 80% of restaurants/pubs don't have been gardens or outdoor spaces. Indoor dining needs to open now, in line with every other country in Europe. The weather is glorious today but that ain't going to last either.
