A sternly worded internal email, apparently sent by Elon Musk, ordered Tesla employees to either return to the office or leave the company. It's raising a lot of eyebrows in a time when employees are increasingly seeking flexible work arrangements.

Good for him. I’m retired and see a lot of people out and about when they are “working from home”.

Simps making 35k a year: You tell'em, Elon!

They didn’t build these office towers in TO for people to work from home. A sizeable tax base relies on these towers being full (restaurants, stores, bars, The PATH, entertainment etc). Toronto services about to get slashed, bankruptcies will rise, taxes to increase.

His company, his rules

With the failures of Tesla vehicles, at least Tesla lawyers will have no problem putting in 40 hour weeks

Interesting considering he also planning to lay off 10% of the staff. Maybe he's lying ...again.

Mr. Visionary should be careful what he wishes for. Lots of other companies are looking for leadership in the EV department.

Good for him

It's up to each individual company. I can't stand the clown, but if he says it's back to the office, that's what it is. The owner/boss gets to make the rules, not the employees.

His business his rules. If you don’t like it work elsewhere

What's his reason for cutting his own throat with the past two or three moves he's made? I don't want Elon Musk to self-destruct because he's the only remaining sane one percenter. The rest are completely lost to the world in playing Finance Pokemon.

Business Well he is their boss. Resign if you don't agree.

I work from home and am much busier and productive in my current job than my last one in the office.

What the point of working for a Virtual Dictator?

elonmusk - Alternatively some recognize their good fortune, literally and figuratively to maintain traditions and strengthen the bonds of family and community. For them the concept of philanthropy is not charity but a way of life with wealth the means to be a social entrepreneur

He meant for it to leak. It’s all part of his new personal brand.

If you don't like it, create your own Tesla.

Pretty sure if the employees left they would be hired someplace else in a heartbeat

He also announced he wants a 10% staff cut, I bet some Tesla workers deleted the draft email complaining about going back to the office.

Commie writer that wakes up at 9am to write this garbage before taking the day off, 'writes' about something that has been known for days without any real substance other than push their commie agenda on private business. Don't like it, quit, easy. Commie lazy garbage

He’s the boss, so whatever. If employee’s aren’t happy, leave. Plenty of companies offer flexibility, but if you don’t like the approach of the CEO of the company you work for, then leave.

It’s about time people stopped being lazy and got more ambitious and started wanting to get out of their pyjamas to do a productive day of work, workers back in their offices or wherever they work support a lot of other businesses like restaurants etc

Some parallels between Elon Musk and Howard Hughes are show up!

Glad I don’t work there!

As usual cbc late to the news. You might as well close up shop

Shareholders can leave too. They are notoriously fickle, and ElonMusk is showing that he's good at buying good ideas, then spending company money to inflate his ego. If he needs people in offices, that fine. Those talents can go elsewhere.

Count your days CBC. Soon as he takes over Twitter he’s likely to slap a “Government-Funded Media” label on your account

Never Tesla !!!! 🔥🖕🏽🖕🏽🖕🏽🖕🏽🔥 FuckElon

Teamwork has suffered at my company during the stay at home periods. Effective camaraderie demands face to face contact. Everyone needs to get back to the office now, like it was 2019.

More apt title: 'Benevolent Dictatorships Rock'

Ya think he cares about raising eyebrows, including cbc’s?

They should leave!! Let’s see elon run his company without talent

这是咋了,特斯拉发生了什么事?为什么员工都不愿意上班了,是工资太低了吗?还是老马经常加班呢?

His company, his rules.

Always interesting to see what media reports and what it doesn't. Just remembering that 'public review' of WorkSafe BC a few years ago with its 'damning report of mistreatment of injured workers'...you all totally ignored. Can't believe u care that much about workers.🤣🤣

elonmusk 🤡

cbc criticizing elonmusk s business practices is rich enough to choke a mutha fucka

Weeding out the selfish employees will make the organization stronger.

Makes sense when your trying to go to Mars or eliminate the combustion engine! Sitting at home makes it hard to collaborate and build teams!

His company. He can do whatever he wants. Simple as that.
