Comair could not raise the necessary funding to continue with operations, its business rescue practitioners announced on Thursday.

Although the latest notice does not mention liquidation, the BRPs did indicate on Tuesday that, if fundraising efforts were not successful, the next step would be to move from business rescue into liquidation proceedings.The BRPs tasked the Comair Rescue Consortium , the current owner, to come up with a practical plan for continued operations by 31 May this year.
