I have always had somewhat of an entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to control my own destiny. I left the metal recycling industry in 2014 for a position as a regional sales manager for a different industry. At the time my son was a year old and because of the traveling I was doing, I felt like I was missing out on the key moments of his development.
Defining the core values of the company sets the guardrails for our culture. Culture is determined by the values and laying out clearly defined expectations for employees. Because of the rapid growth of Sensible Recycling, individual roles and processes change often to handle new challenges. Despite growth and change, having defined values and a solid understanding of our goals helps to keep people focused on what is important and keeps them in line with the vision of the company.
