An Austin-based family entertainment chain plans to bring bowling, laser tag and axe throwing to a large master-planned development in Allen.

The venue will have 24 bowling lanes, a two-story laser tag arena, ax throwing, escape rooms and a miniature golf course.

High 5 Entertainment, a family entertainment company based in Austin, is planning a location at The Farm development in Allen.An Austin-based family entertainment chain plans to bring bowling, laser tag and ax throwing to a large master-planned development in Allen. High 5 Entertainment bought more than 3 acres of frontage at The Farm in Allen, a new development on the south side of the intersection of State Highway 121, Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Road.

The company plans to open a two-story family entertainment center on the site in late fall 2023 with 24 bowling lanes, a two-story laser tag arena, ax throwing, a bowling lounge and event spaces as well as escape rooms and a miniature golf course. The venue will offer craft food and beverages. High 5, founded by Jennifer and Scott Emley, opened its first location in Lakeway near Austin in January 2016. In 2018, the company opened a second location in central Austin., developed by Allen-based JaRyCo Development LLC, is planned to have 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-room hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants and 2,400 residential units. The development will a have a 1.5-acre lake, boardwalk restaurants, more than 2.
