A member of the Arizona Legislature looks at the recent wins through two major federal bills signed into law that will have a long-term positive economic impact on the state. phoenix

By Cesar Chavez – Contributing writerFrom the Arizona State Legislature to the halls of Congress, lawmakers must demonstrate a commitment to fostering a strong and supportive economy. And that is truer today than it ever has been. Skyrocketing inflation rates and financial ambiguity present within households across Arizona over the past few years have caused concern for many. While things have gotten better in recent months, people are wary about the road ahead.

The passage of the hugely influential CHIPS Act and the landmark Inflation Reduction Act could not have come at a better time for Arizona. After months of squabbles between lawmakers seeking consensus on how to bring recovery and revival to every corner of the country, legislators landed on agreements for these two bills.

Because our fight with a rocky economy and inflation is not yet over, legislators who focus on solutions that support our businesses, community colleges, and families are more important than ever. While some of Sen. Kelly’s colleagues choose to get caught up in antitrust fights and policy battles that would cause unnecessary harm to the tech sector and have reverberating impacts on the economy, Kelly remains locked-in to the task at hand – serving the people of Arizona.
