Flagler College is addressing a shortage of on-campus housing by purchasing the Sebastian Hotel on U.S. 1 near the King Street intersection.
President John Delaney said the dormitory rooms in the east wing of Ponce Hall were closed this year after a malfunction of the fire suppression system caused water damage. With rooms that are about 500 square feet, Flagler will add approximately 190 beds, with some rooms being singles.
