Doors at the end of October

Another empty shop has been added to the list of properties that have gone on the market in Nottingham city centre. JoJo Maman Bébé, in The Poultry, closed its doors at the end of October.

The store was a one-stop shop for parents, selling sold maternity wear, baby and children's clothes, toys, nursery equipment and everything you needed for a new arrival. It was also a welcome pit-stop for families since it had baby changing facilities and toilets. The property is being advertised as "prime city centre retail premises" available from January 1, 2023 by commercial property agents FHP. Falling within Class E in planning, the property can be used as a shop, financial and professional services, cafe or restaurant, office use, clinic, health centre, creche and gym. The annual rent is £49,500, with a rateable value of £37,750.

JoJo Maman Bébé has a network of 70-plus shops across the UK. The company still has a store in Nottinghamshire, but the West Bridgford branch in Tudor Square only stocks kidswear.

Probably not enough students buying 'maternity wear, baby and children's clothes, toys, nursery equipment.' As they the only people in the city centre these days.
