Carbon Health announced layoffs of Friday and new funding on Monday.

Days after announcing it would cut more than 200 jobs, Carbon Health Technologies Inc. has raised $100 million in fresh funding.

The San Francisco health care provider secured the new capital from CVS Health Ventures, the venture capital arm of CVS Health Corp., according to aBut the Carbon Health already raised $350 million in a Series D round in mid-2021, according to PitchBook, after closing whatof $100 million the prior year. Its 2021 round boosted its total funding to more than $500 million and gave it a valuation of $3 billion.

The company did not disclose in its press release its new valuation. Carbon Health representatives did not respond to a request for comment.
