From light industrial to multifamily, here's what the Denton City Council is considering right now when it comes to commercial real estate projects in the North Texas community.

Welcome back to “On the Agenda,” the Dallas Business Journal column that scours the city, county and other agendas, minutes, meetings and documents to see how North Texas entities are spending money and otherwise deciding matters of importance to the business community. The property owner, listed as Harlan Property, plans to develop the site for light industrial, with uses including light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution and supporting uses, which could include offices and retail, according to city documents. Additional cases appearing before the Denton City Council are listed below. A 16-acre property in east Denton could soon boast a multi-family development. In total, the development would include 360 units.

The parcel is located between North Loop 288 and Mayhill Road, north of East McKinney Street. The units will include one, two and three bedrooms, and the entire project will host 15 three-story buildings. The ownership is listed as McKinney Mayhill Partners, LLC. The case has been recommended for approval.
