The Ontario Court of Appeal has struck down Premier Doug Ford’s controversial campaign finance law that limits spending by unions and other third parties.

and the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, the court has given Ford’s government “12 months to allow Ontario to fashion Charter-compliant legislation.”

The legislation, which Ford rushed through before the June 2022 election, disallows third-party political action committees from spending more than $600,000 on advertising and other activities in the 12 months before a vote. That will just result in more money in politics. Incentivizing corruption. This is bad for the people.

How can conservatism be a 'We The People' movement if conservatives are constantly acting in the best interests of themselves and not the people?

Liberals and wokesters want to “take money out of politics” except for their money. As usual the left practices their cognitive dissonance to no end.

Is it normal for an Ontario political party to be sued as much as Doug and his gang of thieves?

jake_sisko RESIGN! FordMustGo!

Oops. sunlorrie , you missed retweeting this.

Lol

Sid_Seixeiro How much money has the guy wasted in the court system.

Sid_Seixeiro Good.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Hallelujah!!

No union or corporations should be allowed to fund political campaigns. Government must remain neutral, the taxpayer gets screwed if Government officials are beholden to outside entities.

Not tired with losing he's taking it to the supreme Court. Fun.

WendyGoodes I'm sure Doug will be up all night worrying about this court loss! Doug doesn't care.

We’re lucky the courts are protecting our Charter rights from Ford’s constant attacks on destroying them.

Oh no his developers won't be able to give him money

Another loss for Doug and more wasted tax dollars.

yet it did it's job, didn't it? our dear leader 'Don' mafia Ford himself and all his useless enablers are running Ontario like a script right out of The Sopranos! all hail the fat fuck himself and his mafia buddies as they care nothing about anyone and only seek personal wealth!
