Japan has lost so many chickens to bird flu, it’s now running out of land to bury them

. Japanese state broadcaster NHK reported Tuesday that 16 out of 26 prefectures in the country did not have enough land to dispose of culled birds properly. All 26 had reported experiencing avian flu outbreaks recently. While local authorities and farms usually kill and bury the animals to prevent further spread of the virus, the land shortage has now held back those efforts, according to NHK.

5 times higher than the reference year of 2007, and have increased more than 100% since this time last year,” wrote Nan-Dirk Mulder, Rabobank’s senior analyst of animal protein. The situation has spurred some people around the world to buy their own hens to secure their own supplies of the pantry staple. In Japan, egg prices reached a 10-year high of 235 yen last month, according to Rabobank.

看见这个ptsd

They need to start eating them.

Come on Japan why you following the corrupt governments around the world controlling the food supply chain smh

Incinerate them.

Throw them in ocean the fish will eat away

Why not burn it

Why can they not be burnt?

Someone should tell them they can double their capacity by digging the holes twice as deep.

Okie2111 Bullshit

This is bad. However, it is worse that this flu is also killing countless wild birds. That can have a serious Influence at the biodiversity

Big change from 2020.

Fire?

Go vegan and dont be part of that sick business, where billions of animals are raised just to be slaughtered soon after and also are being culled for getting sick in their concentration camps

I suggest that they switch to composting them. Maybe someone could pass this on just in case they haven't thought of it yet.

Why not incinerate the birds as all viruses die immediately at very high temperature and may use it as animals feeds. Burying them, the viruses may survive.

So, dig deeper holes!

I swear it said - many children to bird flu - made the comments seem sinister 🤣

Ever heard on an incinerator?

This is dumb. Just incinerate the sick fowl. All chickens who are euthanized do not have bird flu. To cull the whole lot is wasteful and crazy. There has to be a better way.

Shouldn't they cremate them?

I mean, common sense suggests they should be incinerated to prevent any further issues

Surely they should be burned to keep infection down?

Japan is an island. Their customs and bio disease control from the government should be better obviously.

Have they considered cremation?

Good thing it wasn't swine flue.

Why not burn them?

Incinerate

Why do they not burn the chickens

what came first chicken , over stuffed gallus gallus domesticis grave yards , trump , pathogenic avian influenza , fauci , the egg , wuhan lab

Bury them in kitchen 🍽️😋

And it looks like there in trouble with KKC

😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

So why not think of other ways, like cremation?

They can ditch them to the ocean like the nuclear contaminated water.

परमेश्वर संदेश

Reminder, it's not the bird flu killing the chickens. It's the people overreacting to something that is generally quite benign by slaughtering everything.

Cremation

Are they still working on a vaccine? Bird flu has jumped to mammals

Aiya...just dump them into the sea! Free food for the fishes! Or just build an incinerator!

White straight dude would have been fired years ago.

dump in the sea natural cleansing

This has to be a non issue dear CNN

Open a KFC then.

we need more hospitals

If it was China we would have seen this in the news long ago 🙄

Why bury them japa has high capacity incinerators doesnt it?

Why don't they burn

دة اتذاع أن كذا وزير ياباني انتحر منهم النقل كان في تصوير قضبان القطر من غير مايكون في قطر في الفيديو اتقال انتحر فساد وكذا وزير

Hope the disaster passes soon

sell em to China, they will eat it

Let's hope it doesn't jump species to humans

China is a country of misfortunes, if you want to know what will happen in the world, live with China while you are in your country, imagine that you are Chinese with crazy people and you are always in trouble and afraid of the white color🤣🤣

F’ing sad

I remember the time I called off work because I couldn’t get change for a $20 to catch the bus. I was down the street from a Target.

Bury them? Wouldn't you incinerate them?
