The first UK-made Jaguar electric car is to be a £100,000 four-door grand tourer, the vehicle's manufacturer has announced.
A separate UK JLR factory, in Halewood, Merseyside, will also go fully electric in due course, the company announced on Wednesday. The investment is the organisation's attempt to catch up with luxury rivals, such as BMW and Mercedes, which already have a range of electric vehicles on the market.
Practical and affordable then? 😂🤷♂️
At land-rover heart was a company making cars for all British people of all class levels, there now a foreign owned luxury brand mainly made for export and the ultra wealthy. Not sure how this is either a good thing for the UK or its people.
Nice and affordable 👌🏽👌🏽
That’s the planet saved, now what?! 🤷♂️
Well, just put me down for two now. Great news for UK manufacturing; utterly pointless for the skint, like me, given the cost of living (feeding and keeping one’s family warm, for example).
Some Tory will say 'I can't understand why all familys aren't switching to electric cars'
Cool I will have 2 👍🤣
Why....lol...
The question is who will buy it
