The PSEi inched up 13.11 points or 0.20 percent to close at 6,541.91 as the Mining and Oil sector led the advance although Banks lagged behind. Volume was a bit higher at 489 million shares worth P3.66 billion as losers still outnumbered gainers at 92 to 80 with 48 unchanged.
Philstocks Financial Assistant Research Manager Claire Alviar said “The local bourse gained following the performance of the US markets overnight fueled by the strong Wall Street’s earnings. Asian markets were also mostly in the green.”
