Queensland Opposition leader DebFrecklington says the state Labor Party is ‘hopelessly divided’ and ‘out of touch’ on the issue of thermal coal and renewable energy.

Queensland Opposition leader Deb Frecklington says the state Labor Party is ‘hopelessly divided’ and ‘out of touch’ on the issue of thermal coal and renewable energy. Deputy Premier Jackie Trad has told Parliament ‘the market is moving away from thermal coal’ and workers in the industry need to 'reskill'.

Ms Frecklington has told Sky News host Chris Kenny Ms Trad’s remarks ‘should send shockwaves down the spine of anyone associated with the coal industry here in Queensland’. She says Ms Trad and Annastacia Palaszczuk are ‘obviously sitting up in an ivory tower somewhere instead of talking to real people’ if they are willing to sell out the thermal coal industry and its workers.

UnemployedinQLD viellarisr How does one retrain to be an AI production robot? This country's manufacturing unemployed more than any other product. 3rd world socialist status, here we come.

viellarisr Coal is the future...

viellarisr Oh that’s great:. The Deputy Premier now bags out coal for the future.. u lot sh1t me

viellarisr How about we have a run of local prospectors, Aye keep it small and local like the old days when Australia banks ran out of currency simply because of the gold mining boom of the 1850’s why does it need to be one company? Don’t buy machines and just spend it on labour

viellarisr It's ok, we'll take the coal jobs.

viellarisr That didn't work well for Hillary. js

viellarisr So learn to code is her advice

viellarisr What utter contempt she shows for the people of Queensland and Australia.

viellarisr She basically told them “Learn to code.” Maybe Twitter will ban her, if she has an account.

viellarisr Easy to say that when your well paid and already in a job. Unless you have an ass load of spare cash 're-skilling' when you lose your job isn't an option always. Usually, you need a job, you need a job fast.

viellarisr Lets help her & her entire party to reskil by voting out as many of them as possible at all elections! Sorted

viellarisr Reminds me of what Obama told all those people in manufacturing, steelmills and coal mines of the USA. Sound like someone assumes the privelege of living in the centre of a city she had nothing to do with building. Aus cities just redistribute wealth generated on farms & in mines

viellarisr Keep up the good work labor. Will win us the election in a landslide

viellarisr What connection do Murdoch’s Sky News have with Adani? What do you idiots get for promoting them and doing their dirty work?

viellarisr Someone needs to re skill queensland government

viellarisr I'm amazed how people lived there before coal jobs came along.

viellarisr Trad backing Shorten going to knock off Taxpayer money for Renewables CFMEU owned wind turbines Aust.-wide even if States win GOV. . Now looking at shipping - guess who will own them? Then there is Mecca - $500m going to Soros & UN 1(1world 1 Gov.)

viellarisr At least with the car manufacturing industry $billions of tax payer $ was put into the industry trying to save it. But with the mining industry not a $. In saying that you have got to admire Trad's honesty. Not sure it will go down well with the miners & the unions though.

viellarisr LNP GOV MPS WANT JOBS FROM ADANI FOR WORKERS THEY CLAIM ITS OUT OF TOUCH BY LABOR MPS TO SAY WORKERS NEED TO RE SKILL.. THIS FROM A LIBERAL NAT GOV WHO SHUT DOWN CAR PLANTS THAT HAD THOUSANDS OF WORKERS AND TOLD THOSE WORKERS GO RE SKILL WE DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR JOB.

AStrongerOZ viellarisr Good take on the issue🤙🇦🇺
