FGV in bid to strike out counterclaim over losses from 2014 acquisition

On November 23 last year, FGV filed a suit to claim RM514 million, as well as compensation, against former president and CEO Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah and 13 others over the acquisition of APL in 2014. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 12, 2019.

FGV Holdings Bhd has filed an application to strike out a counterclaim by five former non-executive directors against the company over losses suffered in the 2014 acquisition of Asia Plantation Ltd . Counsel Fahda Nur Ahmad Kamar, representing the five individuals, told reporters that apart from FGV, filing a similar application are 10 people, comprising the FGV chairman and non-independent directors and non-executive directors.
