A teacher from a remote Kenyan village who gave away most of his salary to poor students wins a $1 million global teacher prize.

Kenyan teacher Peter Tabichi, center, reacts after winning the $1 million Global Teacher Prize in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Sunday, March 24, 2019. Tabichi is a science teacher who gives away 80 percent of his income to the poor in the remote Kenyan village of Pwani.

Good for him helping poor people pays off God have him a reward😍😍👏👏

I know a teacher in Kenya, He lives in a small house without running water or a toilet. He worries about making a living and is trying to figure out ways to build a life for himself by getting some land and buying some cows. As he likes to say, it’s a Third World country.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

He is an inspiration. God bless him.👏👏👏👏

AWESOME! Its different in Africa, everywhere I went, kids REALLY wanted to go to school. (Above Zambia) It wasn’t a chore, or a “waste”. I loved seeing smaller schools , they would have to get kids from watching at the windows. Very cool.

Look at his luminous face—now there’s a hero!

Imagine what he’ll do now.

A true humanitarian...

He continues to teach by setting an example to the world at large. teachergoals

This kind of news is want I always want to here, God bless him more being Rich to me is by helping others in needs.

And he’ll probably give most of that to the poor in his community as well... Teaching is a calling. Thank you Lord for sacrificial teachers.

Can’t think of a person more deserving of that reward.
