Vice President and Chairperson, Trade Promotion Board of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Abimbola Olashore, has said this year’s edition of Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), would unlock new trade and better business opportunities for local businesses in the country.

Revealing that the yearly fair was now in its 38th edition, he said the flagship event would hold in the first week of November for 10 days, and free for all to attend. “We had the Chinese and Japanese pavilions and the African hall that catered to several African countries. We see how fairs are organised all over the world and we want to build on these experiences to put up a world-class event. Many countries and businesses have realised that Nigeria is the biggest market in Africa and know that if they want to succeed in this market, they must work with us.”

Commending the chamber, the Chief Executive Officer of The Guardian, Toke Ibru, said it was clear that the chamber had seen how fairs work globally and was evolving to do one better locally, with the addition of new elements and experiences.
