CHICAGO -- The Museum of Science and Industry will officially be renamed the Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry on Sunday. Five years ago, the billionaire donated $125 million to the museum and two years ago, he moved his Citadel hedge fund from Chicago to Miami.The museum first announced Griffin's gift in 2019 and said it would come with a name change, but it wasn't until now that the change became official.

'We are incredibly grateful to Ken Griffin for his historic and generous investment in our Museum, our mission, and our long-term future,' said the museum's president and CEO, Dr. Chevy Humphrey.
