Maimane will support the executive committee of the Gwatyu Communal Property Association which is fighting for title deeds for the land they have lived on for many generations.

Democratic Alliance leader, Mmusi Maimane, will on Thursday be in the Buffalo City Metro and Alice in the Eastern Cape on his party’s election campaign. The campaign will include a picket at the offices of Rural Development and Land Reform in East London. “He will be picketing with Gwatyu Communal Property, who have be denied their land for a number of years and we have been driving this issue. We’ll be handing over a memorandum to the department, from there he will be addressing students at the university of Fort Hare and he will be interacting with students during the course of the SRC election and from there he will go up to Alice campus,” says DA Buffalo City Metro constituency leader Kevin Mileham.
